Right now I feel giggly and happy.

Even though I’ve been complaining to the whole world that interning sucks, I think at the end of the day I’ve chosen the right profession. I can do this. Today I had work to do and I enjoyed doing it. I had (a free) lunch with my bosses. Who are crazy and mad and gossip about interns like crazy. And made me laugh about Sex And The City. Tonight I watched (what used to be) Stargazing Down Jalan Rama Rama play for the first time in years, and even though I was dying of pain in my heels and random office clothes, I enjoyed it a lot. Seriously this band has been through so many incarnations (and inane names) that even its current name continues to elude me, although I don’t think that’s really a problem right now. There was a nice dinner and happy dirty martinis (saaaaaalt; wish the olives were seedless though) at Emerald Hill, and I think tonight I did a lot of things I hadn’t done in years. Watch them play. Talk to them. Go to Emerald Hill. It was great. It was fun. They played Sweet Child of Mine while I was talking to Kay Hwee about Japan. The new guitar was yummy. Childhood memories, indeed…

It’s always this pleasant high I feel with a little alcohol, and it always makes the work week better. I suspect much of my salary is going towards funding pubs along Raffles Place…

    pak: not shuki anymore!

nurul: we imbibed alot of alcohol. it was probably better you did not see us in our drunken state.

shuki: yah you are. the new singer is better than i expected, though as a guy he can’t hit all the high notes, but given the songs they play it’s not that surprising and he’s not bad really. and they sound a lot better now. can’t figure out if it’s because they all changed guitars…
